Through some research, it become apparent that earthquake preparedness is not exactly in the hands of the individual, but is highly correlated with architectural and structural integrity imposed by government-issued building codes and available technology.

Shakedown is an information graphic that compares the earthquake preparedness of San Francisco and Tokyo, based on the technological advancements they've utilized in some of their structures.
